Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in Political Science with a minor in English. During college, Jennifer spent a summer in Washington D.C., interning at the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Public Affairs. Inspired by issues of social justice and public policy, she attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco to acquire her Juris Doctor. During law school, Jennifer externed for Justice Kathleen O'Leary of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three, and later for the Legal Department of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc. in Century City. She served as a tutor for inner city youth at the Tenderloin After-School Program and was an active, founding member of Hastings Hurricane Relief, a student organization dedicated to Post-Katrina rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Region. While awaiting her bar results, Jennifer traveled to New Orleans and volunteered at the local Pro Bono Project to provide legal aid to indigent residents. A native of Southern California, Jennifer joined Thompson & Colegate in 2008.
