Maxine Morisaki is a native of Southern California. She attended California State University Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While working for an international CPA firm, she attended night school at Cal State LA and received a Master of Arts degree in English. Her Masters Thesis received the Alumni Scholarship award. In 2006, she was honored by the same institution as Distinguished Alumna of the College of Arts and Letters. Maxine attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in the evening program and received her Juris Doctorate degree. She has significant experience in civil litigation representing an array of clients with special practice emphasis in medical malpractice defense of hospitals, physicians, and affiliated healthcare providers. She has experience in both the private and public sectors. Her former professional affiliations include: inaugural member of the County of Riverside Leo E. Deegans Inns of Court; Riverside County Barristers Association; member of the national organization, American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM); member and Board Member of Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM) in which she received awards for educational service and overall service. Maxine also provides community service to the Orange County Superior Court assisting with trials and settlement conferences. She is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California and in the Federal Courts in the Central District and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
